Being
sick is no fun!
Well
this was not a fun week. I don't like being sick, that is
for sure. We all went out for Sushi on Thursday night and
had a really good time but I ended up "hating life"
on Friday morning and have been sick most of the weekend.
I
still managed enough energy to get to Church Saturday night
but other than that I pretty much vegged out the entire weekend.
I was going to try and lay out by the pool and get some more
sun but that ain't happening either. LOL. So I've been sitting
around answering emails, doing some work and watching TV.
Oh yes, I am getting lots of water and rest as well.
As
far as the week goes in general, I am sure you heard about
Ed McMahon, Farrah Fawcett and Michael Jackson. All in one
week. How sad. That reminds me of a story. Back in junior
high me and a friend took choir because it was an easy credit
(lol). Well one year our team tried out for the Christmas
deal at Disney World and we got selected to perform. Well
they let us loose in Disney for the day. Later that night
we had to practice.
Anyway,
around noon my friend and I are in line for the Space Mountain
ride. By the time we got to the front, guess who walks in?
Michael Jackson. They cleared the cart for him and he gets
in the front. No sooner does he sit down then they put an
8 year old boy in his lap. I turn around and look at my friend
and we both say out loud "That ain't right..." We
knew something was up then.
I
finally deleted my MySpace account this week. I wasn't using
it at all so there was no need to use it anymore. I mainly
use Facebook. Mostly because I can keep my information private
and most of my friends are there anyway.
Well
I hope you had a great week. I am going to lay down and rest
for a while. Need some energy for work! Have a good one and
talk to you later.

Fun
fun fun!
What
a great week! No complaints whatsoever, that's for sure, lol!
Work is going well and because we always have a big project
in the works. The vendors have been around quite often so
big lunches happen a lot. We went to a couple of places I
have never been to before. One of them was in PB. An older,
well established seafood restaurant that had the best swordfish
I've ever tasted (aside from Indian prepared swordfish which
is just flat out awesome!).
I've
got another solution to work on that is quite complicated
in terms of backing the data up. Really looking forward to
this project as it's the first time I've gotten deep into
the Backup/Recovery solutions. I've worked really hard with
the vendor to come up with a solution that is very "innovative"
for our company so it will be quite interesting to see if
things pan out (and work) the way we want it to.
As
I sit here and write this, I am starting the feel the effects
of laying out at the pool today. I was hoping it would be
sunny and well, it couldn't have been a nicer day to lay out
and get some sun. Now I am starting to "radiate"
a bit, lol. I don't know if I have a tan or sunburn. I guess
I'll find out tomorrow for sure haha. I also spent more cash
on clothes. Been going crazy on that lately but I guess for
the first time in my life I am starting to dress with some
class and not like a slob, haha.
The
Del Mar fair is going on and I might run down there a little
later today (after the WSBK races) to see what the hoopla
is all about. If they have that bungee jumping ride I am going
to have to try it. I took flight lessons to get over my fear
of heights so I don't think I'll have any problems with the
ride. It will be fun, that's for sure.
Speaking
of flying....as I sit here and ponder how cheap tickets are
to Europe I am reflecting on Air France flight 447. The more
information I find out the more I have come up my own hypothesis
on what happened. In my opinion (ONLY!: The pilot thought
he could weave his way through the bad weather. I think they
did in fact get hit by lightning. We know the pitot sensors
reported erroneous speed readings but the other errors indicated
complete failure of the electrical system. The other error
to note is the rudder limiter quit working. I think the pilot,
in an attempt to wrest control of the plane in heavy turbulence
ignored or did not see the rudder limiter error and over exerted
the rudder causing it to rip the entire rudder section off
the plane. As it spun out of control, the plane ripped apart.
Important
to note, a Spanish Air Lines pilot in the area saw a bright
light (he can not confirm it was fire but I believe it was)
crashing into the ocean near the area Air France flight 447
was reported to have problems. That's my best guesstimate
on what happened. May they rest in peace.
Church
was awesome this weekend and I have to thank Pastor Bob for
the "Father's Day Baseball" (even though I am not
a father -- as far as I know, haha). I'm glad to have such
a great man leading our Church who is doing his best to keep
us on the narrow path.
Well
that's it for this week. I am going to finish up watching
these races and then head out later for fun with friends.
Hope you had a great week and talk to next time! CHEERS!

Quiet
week!
Just
the way I like it. Not really much to talk or even rant about.
Work is going very well so no complaints there. The gym is
going awesome (working even harder now and not missing my
cardio) and Church was great as always. Nothing to rant about
other than the Town Home has still not closed yet. Not going
to complain about it or anything else I have no control over.
If
you don't have an account on FaceBook, sign up and send me
a friend request. WSMC602 at GMAIL dot COM. I look foward
to seeing you there since that seems to be the place most
of us make plans.
Bummer
to the Magic (as I am certified Laker hater, lol) and well,
Nicky did OK this weekend. I didn't get any golf in but I
did get a lot of stuff done around the house and hung out
with friends (did a lot of that in fact). The weather is getting
much better so I do plan on getting to the beach next weekend.
The
only other thing to note is a possible trip to Europe or Australia
this summer given that airline ticket prices have dropped
considerably. The only issue really is the town home and what
haplens there. I don't want blow my savings on the trip if
the house really does close soon.
So
there you have it. A short update (and yes, it's late here
on Sunday but I spent the weekend enjoying my time off!).
Of course there are other things but I'll get to that later.
Stay
tuned :)

Hope
you had a great week!
All
is quiet on the home front so there's really not too much
news. Work's been going really well for me. It's good when
there aren't any fires to put out and there's no work drama
going on. Well that's not entirely true. There is a little
drama with one project but given we're so far into it, I doubt
there will be any changes. That's another can 'o worms altogether
so I'll just sit back and wait for that one to pan out, lol.
On
Saturday Jack, my friend from work and I went to play Golf
out in Rancho Bernardo. It was a short 18 hole executive golf
course that was actually well maintained. I shot pretty well
given that I hadn't played in month or so. I think that has
to do with me hitting a few balls before we headed out. I
was smacking the ball pretty far and straight except a few
cases where that dreaded hook shot reared it's ugly head.
One shot -- and I think it's hilarious -- ended up going left,
hitting a town home that is next to the course and ricocheting
right in the middle of the fairway about 100 yards from the
hole. I ended up shooting a par on that hole!!! Oh yeah I
was putting really well -- draining several long putts. Good
day overall. After golf we headed off to get some lunch.
Church
was great this weekend. We had this guest speaker from Australia
and the subject was on Creationism and he had some really
good points. It helped that he was very funny as well. And
of course, anytime we have a guest speaker it's hard to find
parking! LOL. Even the streets on Rancho Santa Fe were full.
I'm going to buy a subscription to their magazine which will
help me answer some of the questions based on first 11 verses
of Genesis.
Back
to full workouts at the gym and I think I've plateaued again
on my weight. I was at 175 then dropped back down to 170 and
now am sitting at 172. I just want to get to 180 so I can
back off the weights a tad, hit the cardio more and be at
170 with very low body fat. At least I can see the new workouts
that the trainer gave me have made a decent impact. I'm definitely
more tone now than I was three months ago. I plan on going
back to him once the deal with the town home closes.
Speaking
of which, I am waiting on the second lien holder to give me
an answer on my offer. The primary has accepted it but the
secondary has not (as of yet). In the meantime interest rates
are rising. At one time I had it down to 4.75 and now we're
back up to 5.25 (that's 1/2 percent!). We'll see what happens.
There's a lot of work I want to do to the place so the sooner
this deal closes the sooner I can take vacation and start
tearing things up and replacing them.
Well
that's it for the week. Welcome all my new FaceBook friends
too!!
Nothing
really new and exciting going on but then again, my life is
not exactly an open book *wink*. Have a fantastic week and
talk to you later!
