Hooo
Haaa! What a relaxing week!
So
I had Monday and Tuesday off so I took some much needed rest!
I was going to lay out considering how nice Sunday was but
much to my dismay it was cloudy both days. I still managed
to get a lot of things done, including finally getting some
new jeans and boots for work! I bought a pair of ECCO boots
which I've heard a lot about! They are the most comfy boots
I've ever had.
Most
of this week at work was quiet since it was a short week for
me anyway. I actually did get a few projects off my plate
in the short amount of time and now I have a couple new, large
projects to work on so I'm happy. I really like the projects
I am on as well. Getting to wear jeans every day is cool as
well so we're all thankful for that.
This
weekend I stayed busy! I had a friend over on Friday night
so we vegged around and watched TV. Saturday I ended up going
to Orange County to pig out on Sushi with my friends. Also
I brought all my old but in good condition jeans and other
clothes for donation to a charity in LA. It was a large bag
full of stuff. Probably at one time worth about $600.00!
Today
is Sunday and it's MotoGP/WSBK racing. I just finished watching
the MotoGP race and man -- Nicky needs to get his head in
the game. He's finishing behind the satellite Ducati riders.
That's just not acceptable when you are riding on the factory
racing team.
As
for everything else, life is going well. Can't help it, I
have a God who takes good care of me. On the "House"
front, I was told by the real estate agent this past week
that my offer is the only one that was accepted for the Town
Home so we're just waiting for the second lien holder to respond.
As soon as they clear it, I just need to sign the mortgage
paperwork and then wait for the loan to close. After that
I'll grab my keys, get my moving truck and hit the road. I'm
really SUPER EXCITED about this because I've been waiting
a long time.
I
hope everything is going well. Congrats to my niece Savannah
on graduating high school this week. You have your whole life
ahead of you. Don't get in such a hurry to live it that you
let the little things get past you!
Talk
to you all next weekend!

Happy
Long Weekend :)
Hope
you are having a great and long weekend. Hats off to our Veterans
because they deserve it. Being a former Marine myself, I can
relate.
This
will be a short update as I have more houses to go look at
today. I am still waiting for one of them to accept my offer
(the 4bdr Town Home in Clairemont). If that deal happens I
can finally get my weekends back. Every weekend it's house
to house to house all over San Diego. At least I am starting
the learn the area pretty well.
Friday
night I went out with friends and had a good time. There was
this one brunette with a really tall blond guy and she kept
staring at me. I don't know why, maybe she thought I was someone
famous. That has happened to me before. One time at dinner
this guy walks up to me and says "Excuse me, are you
an actor?" and I go "No, but I play one on TV!"
and he just gave me a blank stare while my friend keeled over
laughing. Funny stuff. I never said anything to her coz well,
it's just bad mojo and while I am confident, she was with
someone :)
Work
is going good, Church was awesome this weekend (Pastor Bob,
you rock!) and life in general is going great. I've actually
been going on a lot of dates lately. Still haven't met Ms.
Right (and who knows if I ever will) but at least I am having
fun, enjoying life and meeting lots of new people. Can't really
complain about that at all. haha
I
have Tuesday off as well and wish I could go lay out today
and get some sun. I took a couple days off from the gym to
let my body rest (coz I really need it!) so I might as well
take some time to get a little color in me.
Nothing
left to add at the moment so I will say enjoy the rest of
your weekend and we'll check in with you in June :) HAVE A
GREAT WEEK!!!

Fun
fun fun week with good news!
First
off, what a fun week. Work is going well as we have projects
that are starting to take off. In fact, one of our projects
has been expanded so we know that we're going to have a lot
to do. The good part is that it means that they'll be work
for some time to come as well!
On
the house-hunting expedition, things are also going exceptionally
well! One of my offers was accepted on a 4BDR Town Home in
Clairemont. It has two lenders on the title so I just have
to wait for the second lender to approve. If they approve
then I am golden! Just have to get the mortgage processing
out of the way and move in! I really like the area. It's clean
and nice, still has an ocean breeze (about 5 miles from the
beach!) and close to shopping, etc. I hope it goes through
as I have a lot of plans to fix the place up. Best of all
it has an attached 2 car garage so I can park my bikes AND
two cars in there with room to spare!
As
for everything else, it's been well...fun! We played golf
again after work on Thursday. I didn't shoot very well but
that doesn't matter, I still had a lot of fun and it was great
to hang out with friends.
Saturday
of course was services and I really enjoyed them. One thing
that I definitely took away was that lately I have been trying
to wrest control of things in my life from God that have never/will
never be in my control. There's no reason for me to be doing
that because I know where my trust lies. Trying to take control
over certain situations is just asking for trouble. If God
wants someone, something, some circumstance to happen then
you just have to let it go and let Him take care of it. "We"
have no control over other people and most things in our lives.
Let it go :)
Oh
one last thing! I spent like $500.00 today on new clothes
and shoes for work. Since we're allowed to dress casual I
got some more casual clothes -- and jeans that fit better!
Walking around that La Jolla mall - haha. What a workout!
Things are hard to find there (like shoe stores for instance!).
What they have plenty of over there are jewelers! Sheesh,
if I was getting married (and I'm not! HAHA) there'd be plenty
of places to check out rings, lol.
Well
that is it for the week. I'm going to watch the MotoGP and
WSBK races and then meet a friend for dinner tonight. Have
a great week and talk to you later!

Wow,
what a week....what a week....what a week!
So
much stuff going on that it's just absolutely crazy. I'll
start off first with the house hunting deali-o. I found a
house that I really liked a lot. 1/2 acre of land a pool,
recently refurbished (so it looked new). The only thing was
it was in Santee. I don't mind living out there, it's just
hot. Well I put in what I thought was both a fair and competitive
bid and got OUT-BID! LOL. Someone obviously wanted that house
more than I did so well, they can have it! Not going to pay
more than I feel I can afford (and is fair). Too many people
make that kind of mistake. Needless to say, I am still going
to keep looking and won't give up. Definitely not discouraged
at all!
Work!
We got a bit of good news in that we can wear jeans to work
as long as we don't have any customer meetings. That means
I can save some wear and tear on my nice clothes! haha. That
also means I have to go buy more jeans as well, lol. We also
know that our lease ends at this facility in Sep 2010. When
that is up, well, we have no clue where we are going to end
up. Some say Rancho Bernardo (preferred) or we could end up
in Idaho or Colorado (NOT preferred!). We'll see what happens.
If they move I seriously doubt I'll be following them. In
addition, there's a lot of stuff to move and where are they
going go find so many people with clearances?!
One
thing I wanted to talk about was the term "karma".
I know many people believe in it, but I don't. If karma was
"real" many people wouldn't be walking this planet
for some of the things they have done to others. I do, however,
believe that God teaches us a lesson in every single relationship
we have with people. Be it in a friendship, dating or even
marriage. I also believe that God brings people together for
a reason and if you thumb your nose at His will you will indeed
find yourself miserable and lonely in the end. You may view
it as karma, but I see it as simply God's way of saying "LISTEN
TO ME!"
I
know a couple of people in situations like that. I hope they
eventually find the peace they desire. Just know that if you
thumb your nose at God, He's not going to ignore it. And the
outcome, believe me, is not going to be what you want. I learned
this sometime ago. That whatever plans God has for me I was
going to follow it no matter what.
The
other thing in regards to that is something I know I've mentioned
many times. "LET GO OF THINGS YOU DO NOT CONTROL!"
You can't control people and for the most part, you have little
control over situations. All you have control over is yourself.
That's IT. Speaking of God, the service was awesome this weekend,
by the way :) You should join me sometime!
After
the service on Saturday I met up with some friends and we
went to see Star Trek. It was pretty good, but I don't remember
Kirk getting his butt kicked so much HAHA! Maybe when he gets
older he learns how to defend himself better. All of the character
actors did a pretty darn good job of emulating the original
characters. And before you ask (SPOILER HERE) YES! One original
Star Trek actor has a significant role in the movie. I highly
recommend it. Later tonight I think I'll go see Wolverine
too as I heard it was pretty good as well!
As
for working out, the last of my training sessions was this
week. We did a measurements and I lost some fat and gained
about 1lb worth of muscle. It's really, really hard for me
to gain weight as I don't have the frame to promote heavy
muscle growth. But as with most things in my life, nothing
comes easy. Just have to put my head down and work hard --
and that's really the mantra for my life. :) Nothing EVER
comes easy for me!
Well
that is it for the week. As you can see, lots of stuff going
on and I'm keeping extremely busy. Have a great rest of your
week and HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY to all you moms
out there, my mom too. Rest in peace, we miss you mom!
Week ending May 3rd, 2009
Well
how are you doing this fine week? I'm fantastic, thank you
:)
This
was probably the busiest week in my house-hunting adventure!
I think by now I've seen every house that exists in San Diego.
Well -- haha -- every house in my price range. What I have
learned so far is the closer you get to the beach, the less
"live-able" the houses become. Smaller and smaller,
each needing a LOT of work and of course, lots more restrictions
on what you can or can not do with them.
We
did make offers on three houses this past week so that's good.
We spent all day Saturday looking at places more inland. As
much as I really don't want to live inland, I have to say
that you get a lot more for your money. One of the places
I made an offer on is a Town Home in Tierra Santa (really
nice area) and one in Santee right by the lakes. The one in
Santee has a POOL (hehe) and a lot of land. It's also currently
being refurbished so I don't have to spend a lot of money
fixing the place up. The only thing I am unsure about is whoever
owned it before built a small little "Western Town"
in the back yard that I am sure kids would love. Me -- I am
not so keen on it but it's kind of cool looking. Plus, I don't
have kids to take avantage of it. hehe.
The
other reason living inland may not be a bad idea is we were
told at work that when the lease expires in 2010 for our current
facility that we will be moving. And, odds are, that we'll
end up in Rancho Bernardo because that is where HP has a large
enough facility that is not being used. Where I live in Del
Mar or if I move to Santee, the drive will be about the same
as it is now because there won't be much traffic. We'll see
what happens. I am not putting too much stock into anything
at the moment. I'm just sort of sitting back and waiting to
see how things pan out.
In
the meantime I am going to continue to make offers on houses.
I really want to take advantage of that $8,000 tax rebate
(plus the 4k I get back for buying my new truck!) this year.
I can then turn around and buy some furniture, put some money
away and save some money for a planned three week trip to
either Europe or Australia :)
As
you can see, I have a lot to be thankful and grateful for
in my life. God's been taking excellent care of me. At work
we've been having a small group meeting on Thursdays which
is working out very well. I even bought two new NKJV bibles
so I can following along with the same text. I had been using
my NLT bibles but felt I would be better to have a more traditional
version. It's the same one our Pastor uses so last night I
was able to follow along a tad better. LOL.
Tomorrow
is my last day with the trainer for a while. I can't be spending
any more money right now until I close on a house. This will
protect my credit and the really good interest rate I have
locked in (Thank you for good credit!)! That said, the trainer
has really showed me a lot and proven that I can get the gains
I want. I just need to push myself a little harder in my workouts.
Speaking of which, I've topped my highest weight ever! LOL.
Eight more pounds to go then I will switch from heavy weights
and the shakes to lighter weights, more cardio and just low
cal protein shakes. He even complimented me on my shoulders
and how well they are coming along.
Well
I am starting to ramble off a little bit. Things have been
really great so it's hard for me to contain my excitement.
I did get to ride the Bandit to work a few times this week.
Need to buy some new tires and wash it but I've been so busy
with everything else that has been going on. The bike definitely
needs some TLC.
That's
it for now. Happy Mother's Day (in advance) to all you mothers
out there. I'm going to sit back and watch the MotoGP races.
Talk to you later!
